Privacy Policy

GoodWatch is built to respect your privacy. It is a personal watch-tracking app, and your library stays on your device. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.

What we collect

Nothing on our servers. GoodWatch does not have user accounts and does not send your library, ratings, reviews, or activity to us. The shows and movies you add, your shelves, ratings, notes, favorites, and episode progress are stored locally on your device.

Microphone and camera

If you record a spoken review, the audio is saved locally on your device and is never uploaded. If you scan a disc barcode, the camera is used on-device to read the barcode only. Neither the microphone nor the camera is used for any other purpose, and no audio or images are sent to us.

Third-party data

GoodWatch fetches movie and TV information (titles, artwork, synopses, seasons, and streaming availability) from The Movie Database (TMDB). When you search or open a title, a request is made to TMDB to retrieve that information. Please review the TMDB privacy policy. Streaming availability is provided by JustWatch via TMDB.

Analytics and tracking

GoodWatch does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles or sell any information.

Sharing a title

If you use the share feature, GoodWatch creates a link to a public page that shows the title’s artwork and description. Sharing is initiated by you; no personal information is included in the link.

Children

GoodWatch is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
